Postcard written on March 26, 1942, postmarked on the 27th, by Rozie Monheit in Tarnów, Poland and received by the Red Cross in Krakau, Poland on April 1st

Thank you very much for passing on good news. In response to a postcard from March 20, I will try to explain the case of wanted Tobiasz Monheił. The case number is II.Ew.42 and III – 8929. My son Tobiasz Monheił and Izak Płurm were taken from a field to work where the Jews from the city gathered as a result of registration. The bigger part of people had been taken from that field, when they had come there in the morning of October 22, 1941. As far as I know, the next day they were taken by the police. Above I wrote the number of my son’s case and the number of Izak’s case. I am surprised why I hadn’t been asked similar questions about Izak Płurm. That is why I ask you to look at his case as well because they were taken together. It happened in a city called Kozowa, Tarnopolski.

Bardzo dziękujemy za przekazanie dobrych wiadomości. W odpowiedzi na pocztówkę z 20 marca postaram się wyjaśnić sprawę poszukiwanego Tobiasza Monheiła. Numer sprawy to II.Ew.42 i III – 8929. Mój syn Tobiasz Monheił i Izak Płurm zostali wywiezieni z pola do pracy, gdzie w wyniku rejestracji zgromadzili się Żydzi z miasta. Większą część ludzi wywieziono z tego pola, kiedy przybyli tam rano 22 października 1941 r. O ile wiem, następnego dnia zostali zabrani przez policję. Powyżej wpisałem numer sprawy mojego syna, a także numer sprawy Izaka. Dziwię się, dlaczego nie zadano mi podobnych pytań o Izaka Płurma. Dlatego proszę o przyjrzenie się również jego sprawie, ponieważ zostały one zebrane razem. Stało się to w mieście Kozowa, Tarnopolski.
