Auschwitz Cross
A Polish decoration awarded to honor survivors of Nazi German concentration camps, including Auschwitz. It was instituted on March 14, 1985, and ceased to be awarded in 1999. The decoration is a silver Greek cross on a blue and white striped ribbon, replicating the striped fabric of some camp uniforms. There is barbed wire and the iconic curved cement supporting posts. The "P" in the red triangle on the cross signifies "Polish," indicating nationality, a common feature on badges and medals related to concentration camp victims.
