Dear Mommy, I wanted to write you a letter today, but I will not be able to. Lately, I have such arrears in correspondence that I must deal with it. A moment ago, I finished the letters to Aunt Jasia and Jadzia. The second one sent me two letters already and I have finally answered her. Aunt sent me cards. Today is Monday – If I get lots of letters today, I will have it like this every single day, at least this was how things were last week. You started it. Good beginning. Kochana mamusiu, Chciałem napisać dziś list, ale nie będę mógł. Ostatnio mam takie zaległości w korespondencji, że muszę się z tym uporać. Przed chwilą skończę listy do cioci Jasi i Jadzi. Ta druga przysłała mi już dwa listy i wreszcie jej odpowiedziałem. Ciocia przysłała mi kartki. Dzisiaj jest poniedziałek – jeśli dostanę dziś dużo listów, będę tak codziennie dostawał, przynajmniej tak było w zeszłym tygodniu. Ty zacząłeś. Dobry początek. Wysyłam dużo buziaków, Danka
