All glory to Jesus Christ. I appreciate the money and letter from January 28, 1940. My dear wife, I know there is a lot to do at the end of the year, but the good Lord will help you. Congratulate Janek on his birthday and thank him for his contributions. Vjek needs to improve, or the devil shall get him! Greetings to you and our children, Honuka and her children, Monika, Joll, and all your relatives.

Gelobt sei Jesus Christus. Ich danke für das Geld und den Brief vom 28.1.1940. Meine liebe Frau, ich weiß das man bei Jahresschluss viel zu tun hat, aber der liebe Gott wird dir helfen. Gratuliere dem Janek zum Geburtstage, danke für seine Arbeit. Der Vek soll sich bessern, sonst holt in der Anik*. Grüße dich liebe Frau nebst Kindern, Honuka mit Kindern, Monika, Joll und alle Verwandten.
