Letter written on January 23, 1944, postmarked on the 28th, by Georg Wolski to his mother in Zakopane, Poland from Sachsenhausen 

Dear Mother! With great appreciation, I received the two letters and parcels. Bread, cake, jam, flour, peas, goose meat, sausage, cigarettes, and other items were included in the bundle. Please send me additional cigarettes if they are not too difficult to obtain.  I'm in good health, and I wish the same for you. Please, send my greetings to our friends and acquaintances, as well as to Tania and her pals. Dear Mother, be brave, have patience and don't grieve my absence. Perhaps God will kindly arrange for us to meet each other again. I send you many kisses. Your son,

Meine liebste Mutti! Zwei Briefe und Pakete habe ich dankend erhalten. Im Paket waren: Brot, Kuchen, Marmelade, Mehl, Erbsen, Fleisch von Ganz, Wurscht, Zigaretten und andere. Zigaretten, wenn die nicht schwierig bekommen kannst, so kannst du mir schicken. Ich bin gesund und Dir Mutti viel Gesundheit wünsche. Grüsse die Tania und ihre Kameradinen wie auch meine Freunde und Bekannten. Liebe Mutti sei ruhig und geduldig und trauere nicht. Vielleicht Gott wird für und gut, und wird erlauben, dass wir wider zusammen werden. Ich küsse Dich herzlich stens Dein Sohn
